Get the competitive advantage of a Ragan Award winner. What’s stopping you? Still not sure you have what it takes? Take a look at our past award winners, and see what gets recognized and rewarded.
While each award program is unique, we are looking for quality work that:
Provides a synopsis with details regarding your campaign, project or work. Putting your synopsis in dramatic story form will never hurt your chances. Neither will presenting us with a new idea.
Provides attachments that would help our esteemed team of judges take the measure of your work.
Shows us clear, bold and creative ideas that prove positive impact on your business or client in a positive way. Our judges look very kindly on entries that exhibit an ingenious variation on an older or tested idea.
Shows us you took a brave leap to flawlessly engage wide audiences with innovative PR and marketing. Your work should be authentic. It should have made a lasting impression that changed the minds of many, was shared amongst strangers but most important, made a difference.
You may submit the same work for multiple categories – in fact, we encourage it! If your work’s scope is deliberately wide, why not seek recognition in multiple categories? Please be sure to read all category descriptions carefully, and then highlight different aspects for each category.
The first time we entered the awards, I wasn’t sure if we had a shot. I knew our work was good and different from anything else at IBM, but I was curious about where we ranked in our profession globally. Mostly, I wanted to see what Ragan thought about us. For anyone in communications, Ragan is the most relevant industry organization out there and our go-to for thought leadership. I needed confirmation that we were on the right track.
When we found out we were shortlisted, it changed the mindset of our team. We started to think of ourselves as award winners and walked into client pitches with a lot more swagger.
Last year, it was great to share our pride at being a finalist for an industry award. This time, we can tell our clients and colleagues that we won. Now excuse us as we crank the tunes, celebrate our win and create some killer content for next year’s submissions!--Susanne Frame, Content Strategy

I was first exposed to Ragan about nine years ago when my former supervisor, Jill LaNouette, shared some great articles with our team. I really liked the way Ragan wrote with authority and valuable experience! I have always been able to use the information and learning from Ragan to help me in my daily job, as well as the many training engagements I participate in. When I heard about the Best in Intranet Communications Awards, I knew I wanted to submit the great work we did with our “Be an Ally” video. This video was an absolute labor of love and I wanted to be sure the efforts of my colleagues and the leaders of this great organization were seen and recognized. It was absolutely thrilling to find out we were finalists! It was out of this world AMAZING when we found out we were a grand prize winner! We are so proud to be a part of this momentous occasion with Ragan and we hope to be able to be in the Ragan family for many more years to come! --Lachandra B. Baker, MBA, ABC, Manger
